Rewind Networks today announced the expansion of HITS in Vietnam through carriage deals with two of the country’s major pay-TV operators VTVcab and Viettel. The deal adds 1 million homes to Rewind Networks’ Vietnam portfolio, bringing its overall reach in Asia to 12.7 million homes. The deals were secured in partnership with Thaole Entertainment.
HITS first launched in Vietnam with K+ in October 2018. This was followed by a soft launch in December 2018 on VTVcab’s digital package (Channel 49) and Viettel’s Next TV HD cable package (Channel 108). Rewind and Thaole are also working closely with VTVcab to launch HITS on the operator’s analogue platform in the coming months.
“Vietnamese viewers will continue to gravitate towards solidly curated branded destinations with a clear proposition and easy discoverability – this is evident in the success of HITS in the market,” said Avi Himatsinghani, CEO, Rewind Networks. “Our accelerated growth in Vietnam is a testament to the unique value proposition that HITS brings to the pay-TV ecosystem: the ultimate destination for The Best of TV. All in one Place.”
Viewers in Vietnam can look forward to their all-time favorite series – freshly re-mastered in crystal clear HD.
